July 16, 2011 - Greg Stephens of Green Valley landed this six-pound, two-ounce brown trout on a Thomas Buoyant at Green Valley Lake. The fish was also wearing a $100 tag.

June 17, 2011 - Robert Byrom of Perris caught this four-pound largemouth while fishing with his dad, Jim, at Diamond Valley Lake. "I couldn't have asked for a better Father's Day present," said the elder Byrom.

June 26, 2011 - Lauren Lossner, an 11-year-old from Escondido, landed this 40-pound halibut while fishing aboard the Daily Double out of Point Loma Sportfishing in San Diego. It was one of three legal halibut she landed that day. Deckhand Jason Ivey is giving a helping hand.

June 10, 2011 - Cody Cornette of Julian landed bass at 6 and 4 1/2 pounds fishing white spinnerbaits in Lake Henshaw.

June 11, 2011 - Raul Herrera,  a 13-year-old from Ontario, landed this six-pound rainbow fishing rainbow Power Bait at Green Valley Lake.

June 10, 2011 - Jen Wolf landed this Crowley Lake rainbow trout while fishing with Sierra Drifters guide Doug Dolan. The fish took Wolf into the backing before being landed and released.

June 10, 2011 - Steve Brown of Castaic landed this nine-pound largemouth on a plastic worm fishing the Castaic Lake Lagoon. He also had a seven-pounder that day in what he called, "a wide open bite."

May 14, 2011 - John Lindsey of San Bernardino caught this 10-pound catfish at Seccombe Lake in downtown San Bernardino while fishing for bass with a Yum Dinger.

May 28, 2011 - Jeff Soto of Riverside fished Lake Perris with Antony Palafox, also of Riverside, and the pair landed 17 bluegill and redear on small jigs and two-pound test line in 15 to 20 feet of water float tubing. Big fish was a two-pound 'gill.

May 21, 2011 - Devin L. Roy of Los Angeles landed this 54-pound flathead catfish from the Colorado River near Blythe. He's a Southern California Catfish Association (SCCA) member and was fishing an event at the river.

May 13, 2011- Aleksandar Terzic of Vista landed this 10.2-pound rainbow in Oakvale Cove at Wohlford Lake fishing a nightcrawler/green Power Bait combination dipped in garlic.

May 21, 2011 - Top Mac of Oceanside landed this 13.4-pound rainbow from Dixon Lake -- it is the best trout of the season. He was fishing in Trout Cove with Power Bait.
